The shortest distance between where you are and where your body wants to be isn’t that far with the right help. You can feel a lot better than you think.
Are you tired of having the same aches and pains that never seem to go away? Have you convinced yourself that these problems are due to your age? Probably not.
Exercise Rehabilitation is a specific program tailored to each individual for the correction of muscle and joint imbalances created by everyday life.
What causes imbalances?
* injuries: favoring an injured area while it recovers can lead to altered ways of moving that never return to normal. Injuries can also create scar tissue, like tough spider webs that stick joints and muscles to surrounding areas, preventing them from moving properly.
* repetitive overuse: this could simply be from years of being right handed. It could also be from a job or a hobby that requires one-sided use, like golf or tennis or playing violin, swinging a hammer or using a computer mouse. Even regular exercise when performed improperly can get you.
* postural strain: sitting for prolonged periods, computer use, poor posture or scoliosis.
* faulty mechanics: unique and crazy ways of walking, or moving the arms, legs, or neck.
It would be unreasonable to expect your car to function perfectly for even one decade without proper attention. On the other hand, with reasonable use and regular service you could easily make it around the planet half a dozen time in your favorite vehicle. This is all the more likely with our bodies considering their amazing ability to adapt and heal. On the other hand, imbalances will wear out your car and your body long before their warrantees expire.
The Exercise Rehabilitation program at Axis Health involves detailed analysis and specific one on one training tailored to your body’s individual needs. Session are conducted once per week for half an hour to retest and modify home exercises. We recommend a minimum of six sessions in order to achieve lasting changes.
